We signed a contract to close on the sale of our home on or before 8/31/17. Here we are 3 weeks later and still NO CLOSE.

They keep giving us and the buyer the run around, avoiding calls and emails and finding every excuse imaginable to not close. In the meantime, we have been out a fortune in moving & other expenses (as we were told we would close 8/31 and were out of our home by that date!). We are now paying, rent, mortgage and utilities for 2 homes! By far the worst experience ever!

I just called again and was given the run around YET AGAIN, saying they needed to get an update. We have been told it has been sent to underwriting numerous times and given numerous dates. First we were told 8/31 and then no later than 9/8, then another week passed and not yet another week. And they had the nerve to tell the buyer that "we all jumped the gun." NO!

We signed a contract stating we were to close on or before 8/31 and that they would take possession the date of close.. how is moving out on 8/30 jumping the gun?

I guess we were expected to find somewhere to move to and move all in a day's notice. I'm beyond livid at this point and considering looking into what legal option we may have.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.
